LOOK!

Type: Rich chocolate covered nougat with peanut.

Origin: U.S.A

Manufacture: Annabelle's

Purchase from Walgreen at Geary St, San Francisco

So far this is the best product i have tried from Annabelle's Company. LOOK! chocolate bar is not too sweet and surprisingly enjoyable. The nougat is pleasantly chewy. I can taste the molasses and the honey in the brown color nougat. The nougat is covered in a thin layer of bittersweet dark chocolate. The peanuts are plentiful in this chocolate bar and they are crunchy. Rating: 8

mr. Goodbar

Type: Peanuts in Milk Chocolate
Manufacture: Hersey's
Origin: U.S.A
Purchase from Walgreen at Geary St, San Francisco
Brittle, CHunks of salty peanuts with sweet milk chocolate.
Salty peanuts+ milk chocolate= Mr. Goodbar
Do you know that Mr. Goodbar was first introduced in 1925? Holly Molly... this is the reason why Mr.Goodbar's wrapper seemed old fashioned and retro to me. The wrapper has a distinct bright yellow background with red letters spelled of Mr.Goodbar.
Mr. Goodbar is yummy. One bite is never enough for mr. Goodbar.

Salted Peanut Roll

Type: Salted Nut Roll
Origin: U.S.A
Manufacture: Pearson Candy Co
Purchase from Walgreen at Divisadero St, San Francisco
I consider this is more of a power bar than a candy. This bar provides me with the protein that i need for the rest of the day. In addition, it is tasty and delicious.
It has a soft white nougat filling with small slayers of sticky brown caramel and a generous big chuck of salted peanuts. In terms of flavour, it is simply just perfect. It has a good balance of sweet and salty. I do not need chocolate to satisfy me... Salted Nut Roll will do.

Munch

Type: All Natural Nut Bar
Origin: U.S.A
Manufacture: Masterfoods, U.S.A
Purchase from Walgreen's at Chestnut St, San Francisco
From the makers of Snickers Bar, this all natural nut bar is made from only 6 simple ingredients; peanuts, sugar, butter(milk) corn syrup, salt and soy lecithin.
The bar is solid and not brittle unlike Planters Peanut Bar. It is crunchy and definitely buttery with a hint of salt. For peanut lovers like me, this bar is a hit! It is tasty and delicious.

This Peanut Bar is crunchy, tasty and delicious. It is filled with whole fresh peanuts and it is sweet and salty at the same time. If i were in a hurry and in need of something to satisfy my hunger , i would certainly grab this Planters Peanut Bar rather than a power bar.

1. Original 100 Grand. Rating: 8
The Original 100 grand is still the best of all three. Smooth, not too sweet , crispy and has a good crunch to it.
2. Limited Edition 100 Grand Dark Chocolate. Rating: 7
The dark chocolate has a strong bittersweet flavour and the caramel has also very strong distinct flavour. The caramel is stringy and chewy. The dark chocolate overwhelms the whole candy bar.
3. 100 Grand with peanuts. Rating: 6
I am not sure what they try to achieve with this bar. The peanut overwhelms the whole candy bar.

Take 5

Type: Original Take 5 made with chocolate, pretzel, caramel and peanut butter.

Type: Marshmallow Take 5 made with pretzel, peanut butter, marshmallow creme, peanuts and milk chocolate. ( Limited Edition)

Type: Peanut Butter Take 5 made with pretzel, caramel, peanut butter and peanut butter candy.

Origin:U.S.A
Manufacture: Hersey's
Purchase from various liquor store in San Francisco.

My favorite among the three is the Original Take 5. I think Hersey's should just stick with the original. The original has great flavour. I love the crunchiness of the pretzel, chewy and stringy caramel and the sweet and salty taste of the peanut butter.
Rating: 9
The Peanut Butter Take 5 is too much for me. It is overload with peanut butter. I like peanut butter but not that much! I feel that it is too filling, too rich and the flavour too intense. I just had 2 bites and i could not finish them.
Rating: 7

The Limited Edition Marshmallow Take 5 has a very interesting flavour. In my opinion, it taste funky and definitely, not a good combination.

Big Cherry

Type: Cherry fruit covered with milk chocolate and peanuts
Origin: U.S.A
Manufacture: Christoper's / Ben myerson Candy Co
Purchase from a liquor store at Filmore St, San Francisco

First of all, a bite from this chocolate gives me a sugar rush. It is extremely sweet. For a candy of this size ( 1.75 oz ) and packed with 230 calories, it should come with a health warning!

The candy smells nutty and chocolaty. it has three different
layers; first is the chocolate covered peanuts followed by the bright pink cream and then the red maraschino cherry. However, I am not impressed with the flavor. I have tried Hersey's Cheery Creme and i love it! As for this one, it is nutty and creamy but does not enough chocolate and it is overly sweet. I could not finish this candy.
